On Thursday, 6 March, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ordered Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, and the Czech Republic to pay the European Commission a lump sum for failing to transpose the Whistleblower Directive (see EUROPE B12237A11) and for failing to communicate the provisions to comply with the directive within the prescribed time limits (see EUROPE B13122A25).
