Technology transfer agreements, public consultation and call for evidence on revision of EU rules

31/01/25 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 31 January, the European Commission launched a call for evidence (https://aeur.eu/f/fbf ) and public consultation (https://aeur.eu/f/fbe ) on the revision of the TTBER Regulation (316/2014), which exempts certain categories of technology transfer agreements and the accompanying guidelines. This exercise completes an evaluation which determined, in November 2024, that the rules should be revised after April 2026. Interested parties can submit their views until 25 April. On this basis, the European Commission will present its draft revision of the rules in the third quarter of 2025. (MB)
