EU and Japan reiterate their desire to work together to “promote peace and stability in world”

The European External Action Service (EEAS) has reported that the European Union and Japan held a dialogue in Brussels on Tuesday 14 January on disarmament and non-proliferation as part of their security and defence partnership agreed in November 2024 (see EUROPE B13517A11).

The two sides discussed key issues such as nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, arms control and biological and chemical weapons.
