European Commission launches consultation on rules governing researchers’ access to data on online platforms

29/10/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 29 October, the Commission opened a public consultation on its draft delegated act on access by vetted researchers to data on online platforms. This act is part of the Digital Services Act (DSA), which requires very large online platforms (VLOPs) to provide access to their usage data to researchers who request it, so that they can study systemic risks and assess mitigation measures.
