29/10/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday, 29 October, the European Commission announced that it had finished technical discussions with the United Kingdom in preparation for a cooperation agreement between the EU and the UK regarding competition. This agreement will supplement the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement. The future Competition Cooperation Agreement will enable the European Commission, EU Member States’ national competition authorities responsible for enforcing EU competition law, and the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority to cooperate directly on competition investigations.
