Mandate of ‘EUAM RCA’ civilian mission extended until August 2026

21/10/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 21 October, the Council of the European Union decided to extend the mandate of the EU advisory mission in the Central African Republic (EUAM RCA) for a period of two years, until 7 August 2026, with a budget allocation of more than €24 million for this period. Established in December 2019 (see EUROPE 12386/11), this civilian mission supports the reform of the Central African security forces with a view to contributing to the establishment of sustainable peace in the country. (MB)
