Total value of trade via Solidarity Lanes estimated at around €180 billion since May 2022

The total value of trade via the Solidarity Lanes since May 2022 is estimated at around €180 billion in September 2024, according to the latest figures published by the European Commission on Monday 21 October (see EUROPE 13467/2).

Of this total, around €55 billion relates to Ukrainian exports. The Solidarity Lanes have enabled Ukraine to export around 157 million tonnes (Mt) of goods, according to Ukrainian customs records. It is estimated that the Solidarity Lanes have enabled the export of around 83 Mt of Ukrainian agricultural products, including around 77 Mt of cereals, oilseeds and related products, and around 74 Mt of non-agricultural products, including ores, steel and related products. In total, around 158 Mt of Ukrainian cereals, oilseeds and related products were exported (49%) via the Solidarity Lanes and 51% via Ukrainian Black Sea ports between May 2022 and July 2024.

The total value of imports into Ukraine is estimated at around €125 billion. The Solidarity Lanes have enabled Ukraine to import around 62 Mt of goods, including fuel, vehicles, fertilisers and military and humanitarian aid. (Original version in French by Anne Damiani)
