03/09/24 (Agence Europe) – The Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) is opening a new public consultation from 26 September to 25 October 2024 to gather comments from stakeholders on its proposals for updating the Network Code on the mechanisms for allocating gas transmission capacity. Last amended in 2017, the Network Code harmonises the way transmission system operators (TSOs) offer and allocate available pipeline capacity to network users. Following a preliminary analysis from October 2023 to January 2024, ACER launched the review process in spring 2024 with a guidance document proposing potential improvements and an initial public consultation. ACER’s recommendations to the European Commission are expected in December 2024. To see the public consultation, go to https://aeur.eu/f/daq (PLD)
