03/09/24 (Agence Europe) – Following the adoption of the European Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) (see EUROPE 13279/25), the European Commission set up three new sub-groups within the Sustainable Transport Forum (STF) on Thursday 29 August. These new sub-groups will work respectively on: - hydrogen refuelling infrastructure for road transport vehicles; - zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles; - managing the EU Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) ecosystem for e-mobility. The experts in these groups will address the outstanding issues and review the state of market development. The Commission wants the STF to remain the reference platform at EU level for public-private exchange and advice to the Commission on all issues relating to the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure.
