EU launches anti-dumping investigation into Chinese glyoxylic acid

26/07/2024 (Agence Europe) – In June 2024, the European Commission received a complaint from the EU’s only glyoxylic acid producer, WeylChem Lamotte SAS, which suspected Chinese dumping of these products. Glyoxylic acid is used in the manufacture of agrochemicals, flavourings, cosmetic ingredients, etc. After a preliminary examination, the Commission considered that there was sufficient evidence to justify the opening of an anti-dumping investigation.
