22/07/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 22 July, the Council of the European Union definitively approved the visa-free regime (for travel of less than three months) for holders of Serbian passports residing in Kosovo, issued by the Serbian Coordination Directorate. The Council “adopted a regulation ensuring that the whole Western Balkan region is subject to the same visa regime, by removing the exclusion previously applied to holders of Serbian passports issued by the Serbian Coordination Directorate”, it explained in a press release. As soon as the regulation enters into force (on the 20th day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the EU), it will become applicable in all Member States. (SP)
