EU sanctions five settlers and three entities, including group of violent activists, for human rights violations against Palestinians

On Monday 15 July, the Council of the European Union added five individuals and three entities to the list of natural and legal persons subject to restrictive measures for serious and systematic violations of human rights against Palestinians in the West Bank.

Moshe Sharvit has been blamed for violence and threats against residents of shepherd communities near his outpost, Moshe’s Farm. Zvi Bar Yosef and his unauthorised outpost, “Zvi's Farm”, were added for similar acts.

Tzav 9, an Israeli group of violent activists founded in January 2024, which regularly blocks humanitarian aid trucks travelling to Gaza, Baruch Marzel, who openly calls for ethnic cleansing, Ben-Zion ‘Bentzi’ Gopstein, founder and leader of the extremist organisation Lehava - already on the list (see EUROPE 13395/3) - and Isaschar Manne, founder of the unauthorised outpost ‘Manne Farm’, have also been sanctioned.

These people are subject to a ban on travelling to the EU, their assets are frozen and it is forbidden to provide them with funds or economic resources, directly or indirectly, or for their benefit.
