27/06/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 26 June, the European Commission launched the 2024 edition of the European Innovation Public Procurement Awards, or EUIPA. Supported by the European Innovation Council (EIC), this Horizon Europe prize rewards public and private purchasers, individuals and legal entities that promote innovative procurement practices in Europe, in any sector. The award also aims to demonstrate how public procurement of innovation can positively transform the economy. This fourth edition includes two categories. One, entitled “Meeting societal challenges”, aims to reward innovative public procurement initiatives that help Europe in its transition to a net zero emissions economy. The other category is open to public procurement innovation initiatives that tackle any other challenge. Applications can be submitted until 26 September 2024.
