27/06/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 27 June, the Commission opened two calls for evidence, one on the mid-term evaluation of the Digital Europe programme, the other on the NIS2 Directive, which sets out the rules for cybersecurity in the EU. The Digital Europe initiative is open until 20 September, and should enable the Commission to assess how successfully the programme is being implemented across the EU. A summary report of the results of the consultation and stakeholder feedback will be published online by the Commission. The initiative on the NIS2 Directive is open until 25 July and concerns a future Commission implementing act aimed at harmonising certain specific rules at cross-border level.
