11/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament adopted a resolution by 609 votes to three with one abstention on Thursday 11 April, approving the conclusion of the amendment to the agreement between the EU and Norway on administrative cooperation, combating fraud and the recovery of claims in the field of value added tax (VAT). This amendment will make it possible to incorporate new administrative cooperation tools, in particular: - consolidation of the ‘Eurofisc’ network through enhanced governance, monitoring and joint audits; - collaboration with other EU law enforcement bodies, such as Europol and the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF); - sharing key information on imports and vehicles. The amendment also introduces the possibility of using means other than the standard forms to exchange information. To read the resolution, go to https://aeur.eu/f/bpq (AD)
