11/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – The regulation for an interoperable Europe officially came into force on Thursday 11 April, following its publication in the EU’s Official Journal. This regulation, approved by the EU Council on 4 March, should facilitate cross-border data flows and accelerate the public sector’s digital transformation. This text provides for the establishment of an interoperability governance structure, with a view to creating an ecosystem of shared solutions for the EU’s public sector. These services include mutual recognition of university degrees or professional qualifications, exchanges of vehicle data for road safety purposes and access to social security and health data. Most of the provisions of the regulation will apply within 3 months. See the official text: https://aeur.eu/f/bqe (IS)
