09/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 9 April, the European Commission announced the results of the 2023 call for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) for Doctoral Networks under Horizon Europe. 128 doctoral programmes of excellence, selected from 1,066 applications, will share a budget of 443 million euros. This funding is intended to support the training of 1,900 doctoral students both within and outside the university environment. 389.8 million euros from this envelope will fund 113 standard doctoral programmes. 27.1 million euros will be used to support eight industrial doctorate programmes that will develop skills outside of academia. The latter will benefit from a joint industry-university supervision arrangement. Finally, 26.1 million euros will be used to provide support for seven joint doctoral programmes.
