Member States approve provisional agreement on Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform, ‘STEP’

14/02/24 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 14 February, Member States’ permanent representatives to the EU approved the text of the provisional agreement on the Regulation establishing the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform, ‘STEP’ (see EUROPE 13345/16). With this green light, the text can now be forwarded to the European Parliament for approval. It plans to vote on the text at the plenary session in late February. The EU Council will then be able to formally adopt the regulation. (LM)
