GDP in euro area stable in fourth quarter of 2023

According to the flash estimate published by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Wednesday 14 February, in the fourth quarter of 2023, seasonally-adjusted GDP remained stable in the euro area and increased by 0.1% in the European Union compared with the previous quarter.

According to the data available for 22 countries, six EU countries experienced negative growth, including Ireland (-0.7%), Estonia, Romania and Finland (all -0.4%). Wealth creation was highest in...
