Draft ‘Berger’ report granting legal tender status to euro banknotes and coins is well received by European Parliament

The European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs examined, on Wednesday 14 February, the draft report by Stefan Berger (EPP, German) on the legislative proposal to provide legal tender status for euro banknotes and coins (see EUROPE B13211A12), accompanying a proposal on the digital euro (see EUROPE B13211A11).
