MEPs approve Parliament/Council provisional agreement to extend European environmental economic accounts

On Wednesday 14 February, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Environment (ENVI) approved (65 votes in favour, 4 against and 9 abstentions) the provisional Parliament/EU Council agreement on the proposal to add forests, environmental subsidies and ecosystems as new modules in environmental economic accounts - the data to be supplied by the Member States to the Commission for Eurostat statistics.
