02/05/2023 (Agence Europe) – The Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) submitted its response as part of the consultation on the 2023 ERAA project (assessment of risks to the security of the EU’s electricity supply by ENTSO-E for the next 10 years) on Friday, 28 April, and has suggested that data input be applied consistently in two ERAA modules (adequacy and investment) and be consistent with national and EU policy goals and plans. The agency has also asked that cross-zonal capacities as per the Ten-Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) developed by transmission system operators (TSOs) and ENTSO-E and climatic variables that can have a significant effect on the security of the electricity supply and thus on the ERAA results be taken into consideration.
