Qatargate, European Parliament strengthens mission of special committee on foreign interference

MEPs voted by a show of hands on Tuesday 14 February to strengthen the mission of the special committee on foreign interference in all EU democratic processes, including disinformation (INGE 2), and added its name.

As a result of Qatargate, INGE 2 becomes the ‘special committee on foreign interference in all democratic processes in the European Union, including disinformation, and on strengthening integrity, transparency and accountability in the European Parliament’.
