Greens/EFA MEPs want to amend European Parliament draft resolution on affordability of fertilisers

14/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – Members of the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament tabled several amendments to the draft resolution on the availability and affordability of fertilisers (see EUROPE 13111/8) on Tuesday 14 February. According to Benoît Biteau (Greens/EFA, French), the resolution focuses on “the agriculture we no longer want”. In his eyes, the draft resolution is “appalling”. The only positive point it uncovered was the request for an “impact study on corporate windfall profits” in the fertiliser sector.
