22/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Research Council announced on Tuesday 22 November that it has selected 408 projects under its Starting Grants call for 2022. The call for participation is intended to support young scientists with 2 to 7 years of experience after the date of defence of their PhD. The grants should enable them to launch their own research project. This includes building a team. The call has a budget of €636 million from Horizon Europe, paid to the Host Institution (which must be located in a Member State or in a country associated with the Horizon Europe programme). The call for the 2023 Starting Grants closed on 25 October 2022 and the selected projects are expected to be announced in summer 2023.
