28/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 28 July, the European Commission approved a €15 million Slovenian scheme to support primary producers of agricultural products in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This scheme was approved under the state aid temporary crisis framework adopted by the European Commission on 23 March 2022 and amended on 20 July 2022. The support will take the form of direct grants. The purpose is to cover part of the additional costs that the eligible beneficiaries incurred due to the price increase of fertilisers caused by the current geopolitical crisis. The European Commission confirmed that the Slovenian scheme will not exceed €62,000 per beneficiary and will be granted no later than 31 December 2022. (LC)
