European Commission approves French PGI ‘Cancoillotte’

20/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Friday 20 May that it had approved the addition of ‘Cancoillotte’ from France to the register of protected geographical indications (PGIs) protected at EU level. ‘Cancoillotte’ is a cheese speciality obtained by melting a cheese made from skimmed cow’s milk called ‘metton’, with butter and water added, and produced in the Franche-Comté region. ‘Cancoillotte’ is often eaten with other regional specialities...
