Use of biomass residues can boost EU energy independence, says CEFS

Replacing fossil fuels used in factory processes today with bioenergy produced from agricultural biomass residues “will support EU energy independence”, said Marie-Christine Ribera, Director-General of the European Association of Sugar Manufacturers (CEFS), on Friday 20 May.
