Bernhard Url insists on ‘extraordinary’ nature of EFSA’s final scientific opinion on glyphosate to justify one year postponement

To justify the postponement of the final scientific opinion on the re-evaluation of glyphosate by one year, the Executive Director of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), Bernhard Url, insisted on Tuesday 17 May on the ‘extraordinary’ character of this issue (see EUROPE B12950A14).

Bernhard Url was questioned by the European Parliament’s Agriculture Committee, particularly on the issue of pesticides.
