04/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 4 May, the European Commission unveiled the five projects selected in a call for proposals under the New European Bauhaus. Each project, which will receive five million euros over two years, will aim to “create more sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful spaces” in several European territories and involve citizens in the ecological transition at the local level, the EU institution said in a statement. These projects are as follows: - Cultuurcampus (transforming a disadvantaged urban area of Rotterdam); - NEB-STAR (integration of New European Bauhaus principles in the territorial transformation plans of Stavanger (Norway), Prague (the Czech Republic) and Utrecht (the Netherlands); - NEBhourhoods (preparing a Munich borough for the European Green Deal); - DESIRE (designing a circular society); - EHHUR (helping vulnerable cities and their residents transform their built environment).
