15/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – Following a meeting of the European Parliament’s Employment and Social Affairs Committee (EMPL) coordinators on Monday 15 November, the EPP group obtained the report on the Social Climate Fund. The group had to use more than half of its remaining points to achieve this record (11.5 points out of 21.5). The EMPL Committee will share its competences with the Environment Committee (ENVI) (see EUROPE 12816/20), where the EPP group also obtained the report. In early November, the European Commission launched a call for evidence on the social aspects of the green transition in view of the second ‘Fit for 55’ package due in mid-December (see EUROPE 12825/15).
