EU launches its civilian consultative mission in CAR and extends mandate of EUTM CAR

The Council of the EU adopted, on Thursday 30 July, a decision launching the EU civilian CSDP Advisory Mission in the Central African Republic (EUAM CAR).

This mission, established on 9 December 2019 (see EUROPE B12386A11), will be operational on 9 August, for an initial period of two years, following the achievement of its initial operational capability.
