Paulo Soares, first Head of Mission of new EU Mission in Central African Republic

17/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Portuguese Paulo Soares was appointed head of mission for the new European Union Advisory Mission in the Central African Republic (EUAM RCA) on Tuesday 17 December. This mission, which aims to support the reform of the internal security forces, was established by the EU Council last 9 December (see EUROPE 12386/11) and should be launched next spring. Paulo Soares is currently Head of the Interoperability Cell of the military EU Training Mission in the Central African Republic (EUTM RCA). His mandate as Head of Mission of EUAM RCA will run until 8 December 2020. (CG)
