17/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 17 December, the Council of the European Union appointed two new members of the European Court of Auditors, namely Joëlle Elvinger of Luxembourg and François-Roger Cazala of France, both appointed for the period from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2025. They will replace Henri Grethen and Danièle Lamarque respectively. The College of Members, chaired by Mr Klaus-Heiner Lehne, President of the European Court of Auditors, will soon meet in its new composition to determine the specific tasks of these two new members. Ms Elvinger and Mr Cazala will be sworn in at a later date at the Court of Justice of the EU. (PH)
