European Parliament supports new rules to reduce VAT fraud in e-commerce

On Tuesday 17 December, the European Parliament approved the reports for the opinion drawn up by MEP Lídia Pereira (EPP, Portugal) on the proposals for a regulation and directive presented by the Commission in December 2018 to better combat VAT fraud in the e-commerce sector (see EUROPE B12158A29).

The report on the regulation on measures to strengthen administrative cooperation was adopted by 590 votes to 19 with 81 abstentions and the report on the directive on requirements for payment...
