‘BlackRock’ affair, European Ombudsman will not open an inquiry for now

30/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Ombudsman has failed to act on the complaint made by MEP Damien Carême (Greens/EFA, France) on behalf of his parliamentary group on 17 April about the contract obtained by US asset manager BlackRock to carry out a study on the integration of environmental and social factors in the supervision of banks (see EUROPE B12469A30), it was learned from the MEP’s office on Thursday 30 April.
