30/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – The scientific advisory panel launched by the European Commission the day after the video conference of European leaders on 10 March now meets only once a week instead of twice, as it was doing previously (see EUROPE 12443/1). We have been informed that “that’s what was happening at the beginning of the crisis, but now there are a lot of other issues that require the attention of the President and her team“. After a two-week Easter break, the group of epidemiologists and virologists met for discussions for the fifth time on 20 April. We are still waiting to find out what they discussed, as, despite our requests, the minutes have still not been published. (SPj)
