12/09/2019 (Agence Europe) – With the new European Commission taking shape (see EUROPE 12323/1), Coface, an organisation that represents the interests of families at European level, has launched a call for a New Deal for Families of Today. The organisation has 10 objectives to achieve at European level, in order, among other things, to recognise all kinds of family without discrimination, to pay more attention to children's well-being or to create a society with a strong element of intergenerational solidarity. Coface was pleased that its priorities were reflected in the various portfolios, such as demographic issues, the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights, and respect for equality between men and women.
