12/09/2019 (Agence Europe) – The hearings of the Commissioners-designate by the European Parliament's parliamentary committees will take place from Monday 30 September to Tuesday 8 October, with two hearings each morning, afternoon and evening. The precise timetable will be decided on Thursday 19 September by the Conference of Presidents of the political groups. Any additional hearings of a Commissioner-designate or alternative candidate should take place on Monday 14 or Tuesday 15 October. On 15 October (or 16 October in the event of an additional hearing), the Parliamentary Conference of Committee Chairs will assess all the hearings and forward its conclusions to the Conference of Presidents of the political groups, which will take a final decision on Thursday 17 October in preparation for a vote by Members on the whole Commission on Wednesday 23 October in Strasbourg.
