19/03/2019 (Agence Europe) – There is no shortage of initiatives by advocates and detractors of copyright reform, a week before the plenary vote on the subject in the European Parliament. While the day before, we highlighted a letter co-signed by the GESAC-led Europe for Creators coalition and a website identifying MEPs who have not openly expressed their opposition to the reform, on Tuesday 19 March, we highlighted the launch of a manifesto supporting the reform launched by German MEP Helga Trüpel (Greens/EFA). On the other hand, the Wikipedia community plans to shut down its German, Danish and Czech language sites on 21 March and to put warning banners on its Estonian site, for example. (SPj)
