Commission publishes results of its consultation on the planned SEPA

Brussels, 30/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - According to the public consultation exercise launched in June 2009 (see EUROPE 9918), most of the people interviewed want an EU deadline to be set for migrating to the Single European Payment Area (SEPA) bank transfer payments and standing orders. Most of those polled also want the migration to cover not only transactions between banks but also transactions on the retail market and payment between clients and their banks.
