Peter Mandelson says trade is a way of solving, rather than worsening, climate change

Brussels, 19/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - At a conference on international trade and climate change on the fringes of a meeting with Norwegian foreign minister Jonas Gahr Store in Oslo on 18 September 2008, EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson said, in a speech entitled 'Is climate change incompatible with free trade?,' that a global climate agreement not accompanies by opening up to green technology would be meaningless.
