19/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Tuesday 17 June, the European Parliament adopted the report by Lidia Joanna Geringer de Oedenberg (PES, Poland) approving, with no amendments, the proposal for a Council directive on veterinary checks in intra-Community trade. The proposal contains a straightforward codification of the existing texts without any change in substance. (L.C./transl.rt)
