Future French EU Presidency is planning on convergent police practice by 2014

Brussels, 11/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - As part of the work by the Future Group on “home affairs”, the French EU Presidency intends to place emphasis on the “principle of convergence” when it comes to police cooperation. Created in January 2007 at the initiative of the German federal minister for internal affairs, the Future Group is a high level informal group whose work will fuel the future justice and home affairs programme for the period 2010-2014.
