11/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the European CanCer (stet) Organisation (ECCO) are organising a biennial multidisciplinary partnership meeting in Berlin, Germany, on 20 to 24 September 2009 on updated scientific data for everyone working in cancer. The conference should make it possible to boost initiatives to provide cancer patients with equal access to high quality treatment. It was recently decided that ESMO would have a seat on the EECO board of directors. The president of ECCO, Prof. Alexander M. M. Eggermont, and the president of ESMO, Prof. Jose Basselga, are delighted that the two organisations are working closer together. They said they shared the same objective of providing cancer patients with the best possible treatment. ESMO will hold its 33rd congress in Stockholm, Sweden, on 12-16 September 2008.
