11/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - Leaders of the European People's Party (EPP) and President of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Pottering, will be meeting in Dublin, Ireland, on 14 April 2008 to discuss the situation on the economic markets in Europe. The meeting will be attended by the chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme, Maltese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tonio Borg, Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski, and FYROM (former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki. The president of the EPP-ED Group at the EP, Joseph Daul, the leader of Bulgaria's GERB, Boyko Borissov, and the leader of Lithuania's TS-LK, Andrius Kubilius, will also be attending the meeting. It will be co-chaired by the EPP president, Wilfried Martens of Belgium, and the president of Fine Gael (Ireland) and the EPP vice-president, Enda Kenny. (A.B.)
