11/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - After intensive contacts with BusinessEurope and Commissioner Vladimir Spidla on the question of reviewing the directive on European Works Councils (EWCs), ETUC General Secretary John Monks said negotiations on this subject could not be held for reasons of timing and content.
