13/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Commission passed on to MEPs meeting in Strasbourg the General Report on the EU's activities in 2006. The new edition, of around 250 pages, again follows the concise approach adopted in 2005. Commission President José Manuel Barroso said: “In publishing the General Report, the Commission (…) feels that it is helping to create the results-based Europe we are striving for. At the same time, it adds one more brick to the edifice of the Union's collective memory”. Published in 22 official languages of the Union (the Bulgarian and Romanian editions will be available in the next few weeks), the General Report is available from the different sales offices for European Community publications.
