13/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 12 February, the General Affairs Council authorised the European Commission to open negotiations with Switzerland for the latter's participation in the EU's Media 2007 programme. MEDIA is the EU programme which supports the European audiovisual industry (see EUROPE 9364); it intervenes upstream and downstream of production, cofinancing continuing training of professional, the development of production projects (films, telefilms, documentaries, animation...
