No agreement between Council and Parliament in areas of conflict - Negotiations to restart on 28 November

Brussels, 22/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - After many long hours of discussion in Brussels on Tuesday 21 November, the Ecofin Council and the European Parliament delegation failed to overcome their differences on some parts of the draft budget for next year. These differences included administrative spending, Common Foreign and Defence Policy (CFSP) appropriations and the level of payment appropriations.
